This competition aims to enhance the relationship between the artist and nature, fostering feelings of love and respect for the environment in the observer.

Who Can Enter

The competition is open to artists working in:

– Painting

– Sculpture

– Photography

– Performance

– Installation

– Video

 

Prizes

– **First Prize**

– Featured on the cover of the ArtonWorld.com supplement with the publication of 10 images and a critical review.

– 6 printed copies in the Luxury edition.

– **Second Prize**

– A special feature on contemporary art including an interview with the artist, biography, photos, and contact information.

– 5 printed copies in the Luxury edition.

– **Third Prize**

– Publication of a three-page spread with 5 images, a critical review, and 3 printed copies in the Luxury edition.

 

Categories and Requirements

– **Painting**
– Created with freedom in technique and style (oil, tempera, acrylic, ink, vinyl, watercolor, graphite, pencil, collage, aquatint, etching, and various prints, etc.) on any support (canvas, paper, wood, plastic, metal, etc.).
– Maximum size allowed: 175 cm per side.

– **Sculpture and Installations**
– Made from any organic or inorganic material, possibly incorporating sound, light, video, and mechanical or electrical movements.
– Maximum dimensions: base 4 meters, depth 4 meters, height 8 meters, with no weight limit.
– Exhibition space does not include dark spaces.

– **Art Photography**
– Single photos or series on analog or digital support, in color or black and white.
– Maximum size allowed: 175 cm per side.

– **Video Art and Short Films**
– Accepting videos, films, slow-motion, time-lapse works, and all animation techniques on digital or analog media, including short films, promotional videos, and computer graphics. Multi-channel works are not accepted.
– Maximum duration: 15 minutes.
– Submission: video file must be uploaded online and should not exceed 500 MB.

– **Performance and Acting (Stage and Video)**
– Performances by one or more artists using any technique and expressive form, including any support material provided by the artist.
– Finalists will perform during the opening night or in the following days, presenting a version no longer than 10 minutes.
– Artists are responsible for their performance materials.
– Also accepted are monologues or scenes up to 10 minutes in any language (with an English translation) of any theatrical show or audiovisual work by one or more artists, in any style, genre, or acting technique.

– **Virtual and Digital Art**
– Entirely created using computers or digital applications and devices: videos, installations, performances where digital media play a key role in the creative process and content; net art, software, interactive devices, video games, augmented reality projects, rapid prototyping, etc.
– Includes Additive Art, Bio Art, Data Art, Digital Communities, Digital Performances, Digital Poetry, Game Art, Generative Art, and Algorithmic Art, Mobile Art & App Art, Net Art, Electronic Art, Robotic Art, XR Art, Blockchain and NFT Art, Metaverse Art, GAN Art, and OpenAI Art, Crypto Art.
– Works requiring installation must adapt to the available exhibition space.

– **Digital Graphics and Cartoons**
– Includes images and works generated or modified using a computer, tablet, smartphone, or applications such as Digital Painting, GIF Art, Digital Animation, Infographic Art, Glitch Art where technological intervention is predominant.
– Includes digital painting, cartoons, comics, GIFs, and photographs where manipulation is predominant.
– Finalist works will be displayed on monitors or printed on two-dimensional support with a maximum size of 175 cm per side.

– **Environmental/Land Art**
– Works or projects of environmental and landscape art where the artistic intervention interacts with the environment it was conceived for. No limitations on the specific environment choice.
– Presented works and projects address nature and its characteristics, and more broadly the environment or landscape in which they are located.
– Finalist works will be displayed on explanatory panels.

– **Urban and Street Art**
– Works or projects of urban art, redevelopment, street art, graffiti, and stencil art focusing on the urban fabric and public space where they are conceived, using any technique (spray cans, artistic stickers, stencil art, video projections, installations, etc.).
– No limitations on the intervention location choice.

– **Art Design**
– Productions originating in the artistic field applied to the world of design. Works, products, projects showing evident artistic influence and inspiration.
– Finalists must present the product or a scaled prototype based on the exhibition choices of the organization.

 

**Article 4 – Awards**

**Free Publication on ArtonWorld.com**

Every artist gains free online visibility on the international portal ArtonWorld.com, a digital platform for promotion.

**Entry Fee**

€10 for artists under 35 (born from 1989 onwards).

– €25 for artists over 35 (born before 1989).

– Artists under 35 must attach a copy of their ID when applying.

– Prices include taxes. The fee allows entry of up to 5 works, even in different sections. Each additional work beyond the fifth costs €2 per work. Artists must keep a copy of the payment. The entry fee is non-refundable.

**Article 6 – Selection Process**

Works will be evaluated considering the characteristics of contemporary international art and various artistic trends, based on qualitative, research, and technical ability criteria.

**Competition Dates**

– Open from July 1, 2024, to September 30, 2024.

– Selection results will be announced online on the website www.artonworld.com.

A supplementary issue, ArtonWorld Green, will be prepared for December, featuring the cover of the first-place winner and dedicated features for the second and third place winners.
