OPEN CALL: FEEDBACK LOOP CRITIQUE GROUP

Call for: local artists to participate in critique group and final exhibition

Contracommon invites local emerging artists to apply for a monthly critique group resulting in a collaborative exhibition in late August 2026. Selected artists will meet at Contracommon to share their practices and provide feedback, culminating in new works by each artist. Artists working in any media are encouraged to apply. 3D and media artists are encouraged to apply. Contracommon can provide some pedestals and some media equipment, if needed.

• Open Call closes: January 2, 2026.

• Artists notified: mid-January 2026

• First meeting (virtual): January 18th, 2026, 12pm-3pm

• Critique group duration: 7 monthly meetings

  •   tentative meeting dates: February 1st, March 8th, April 5th, May 3rd, June 7th, July 4th, and August 2nd, 2026

• Installation:  August 15th-17th, 2026

• Exhibition dates: August 22nd - September 17th, 2026
