Tenth International art exhibition 'The Enchanted Garden'

For the TENTH time, Tone Aanderaa and Ignace Clarysse are organising the festive international art exhibition 'The Enchanted Garden' during the summer months of 2023 in a natural, water-rich landscape garden full of surprises. It is located in Belgium halfway between Brussels, Liège and Namur and on the RAVEL tourist cycle path connecting Leuven, Tienen, Hoegaarden, Jodoigne and Namur. Every year, the quality of the exhibition, the artists and the artworks increase. For the TENTH edition, Tone Aanderaa and Ignace Clarysse therefore want to present only high-quality works that preferentially combine various materials or techniques.

Due to the success of the glass exhibition in 2022, we would like to exhibit at least 50% of the works containing "glass" features and characteristics, i.e., show reflective, transparent or colour aspects and/or combine glass with other materials.

In 2023, there is a fund that will compensate partly the transport costs according to the modalities stipulated in the exhibition contract.

‘The Enchanted Garden’ is located in Belgium halfway between Brussels, Liège and Namur and on the RAVEL tourist cycle path connecting Leuven, Tienen, Hoegaarden, Jodoigne and Namur.

In 2023, the exhibition is planned as follows:

• We plan a 'Sculptures in Spring colours' prologue starting on Friday 09 June 2023
• The vernissage weekend of the summer exhibition starts on Friday 23 June 2023
• The Finissage weekend of the summer exhibition ends on Sunday 24 September 2023
• We plan a 'Sculptures in Autumn Colours' through Sunday 15 October 2023
• We are open every Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, public holiday and ‘long weekends’ from 13:00 to 20:00 (13:00 to 19:00 from 18 September 2023)
• Tenth edition festivities are planned.

The working theme for 2023 is (E)motion and it contains two elements:

• Motion: Movement, Change, ... e.g., kinetic sculptures, sculpture of a movement such as a running horse, sequence of colours or motifs suggesting movement …
• Emotion: Emotion as a movement in mood, state of mind, atmosphere, ... caused by the artwork, …

The garden is designed as an exhibition area where each sculpture is granted its own spot and is displayed to its full advantage and does not compete with other works of art.

The visitor does not miss a single sculpture, thanks to an intuitively laid out walkway. He will find rest areas, benches, treehouse and even rain shelters. We even keep rain umbrellas and rain shoes available for the visitor! After the visit, they can have a drink on the sunny terrace with a view of the exhibition and the catalogue within reach ... which encourages purchases.

The quality of artworks, artists (and visitors) increase every year. The number of visitors, sculptures sold, turnover grows by 25% on average every year. We are aiming for festive growth for 2023!

In 2023, we focus on inviting groups and companies interested in buying art and/or a cultural experience. We provide day programmes. We also provide a special 'pampering' framework for the groups and companies.
