CALL FOR ARTISTS VISIONS – CANVAS INTERNATIONAL ART FAIR 2025

ITSLIQUID Group, in collaboration with YMX Arts, is pleased to announce the open call for VISIONS, the second appointment of CANVAS INTERNATIONAL ART FAIR 2025, which will take place in London, at ELEMENTS Contemporary Art Space (click here to learn more about this venue) from November 21 to December 04, 2025.

Since 2001, ITSLIQUID Group has organized over 350 international events, engaging more than 10,000 artists across over 60 global venues. Its initiatives have featured prestigious museums like the CCCB – Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona in Spain, the NCCA – National Center for Contemporary Arts in Moscow, the MuMo – Museum Montanelli in Prague, and at the MUST Museum in Lecce, in addition to numerous galleries and private foundations. Thanks to its partnership with Sedition, ITSLIQUID has presented masters such as Bill Viola and Refik Anadol, offering high-level opportunities for young, mid-career, and renowned artists.

The word “canvas” was used for the first time in Italy in the 14th century, and it has become the most common support medium for oil painting, replacing wooden panels. Over the centuries, the canvas’ meaning has changed, starting from paintings, through photographic and cinematographic film, exploring the human body, to the digital world. Canvas is the creatives’ common ground, on which they can express themselves.

VISIONS aims to explore all the different facets of the social, physical and cultural identities of our contemporary society. Every day we deal with a multitude of different identities and roles: we face public life creating and adapting our social identities, our body and aesthetic tastes modify and are modified by our physical and sexual identities, our whole being evolves as well as contemporary cultures and modern cities do in order to create new compound and exchange possibilities for new “liquid identities” in “liquid cities“.

We invite artists to analyse the hidden parts of our identities through an immersive experience inside the fascinating universe of the complex labyrinths of our consciousness.
 

CANVAS INTERNATIONAL ART FAIR consists of 2 main events: BODYSPACES (September) and VISIONS. We are now selecting artists for:

– VISIONS from November 21 to December 04, 2025
Deadline for applications is October 12, 2025 (11.59 PM your local time)
 

Artists interested in taking part in our shows are free to be sponsored and supported by institutions, organisations, governments and their representatives; the logos of their sponsors will be included in all the communication (digital and print) of the events. Artists are free to take part in one or more events.
