the charm of community arts

RaumArs A-i-R works with the aim of bringing the art world and the community closer together. We select artists for community/participatory art or self-directed work. There is also an interesting collaboration within the World Heritage combining art projects.

The residency is ideal for creative work and exhibitions, research or artistic work as well as collaborative projects. Families, curators and small working groups can also apply for a residency. The residency includes accommodation (free for artists executing a community project or a small rent for independent work). The house is 100 years old and fully renovated by the City of Rauma. RaumArs residency is renting the house from the city and we moved our activities to the Art House in January 2025 and a new gallery opened in April 2025.
