The competition is open to visual artists from around the world at any stage in their career. Artists are invited to submit in any of the following mediums: painting, sculpture, drawing, printing, mixed media, and print. Art submitted to the competition will be reviewed by a panel of expert jurors .

The highlight of this event is the giving of awards to the films in the various categories.

The films are going to be awarded by a mixed jury. The jury is composed of horse thrilled people out of the riding scene.

Location

In the heartland of horsemanship, Germany, this event takes place in the castle Neuhoff/Bibow in northwest Mecklenburg.

The location is in the “garden of the metropolis” Hamburg and Berlin.
It is easily reachable over the motorway and with public means of transport

Further interesting  areas are the state capital Schwerin and the hanseatic cities Wismar, Rostock and Lübeck.

Mecklenburg and Schleswig Holstein, which borders Mecklenburg, are known as THE horse states in Germany.

The castle Neuhoff has been always connected to horses.

From the first owners the von Plessen to the von Basewitz, who had designed and built their own baroque riding park until the beginning of the 19th century, up to the baron von Langen.

Carl Friedrich von Langen, the first German Olympic champion (1928), was excerpted from this family. After his death, he was buried together with his horse on the premises of the castle.
