"Dark Frames." A Black & White Photography Virtual Exhibition

"Dark Frames" invites photographers to showcase their most compelling black and white images in an exhibition celebrating the timeless artistry of monochrome photography.

This open call seeks to explore how the absence of colour can enhance visual storytelling and reveal new dimensions in photographic expression.

Throughout history, black and white photography has been the cornerstone of the medium, capturing moments and stories before the advent of colour film. From classic portraits and historical events to everyday scenes, monochrome photography has a unique ability to focus on the fundamental aspects of light, shadow, and texture.

By revisiting this classic format, the exhibition celebrates the simplicity and sophistication of monochrome imagery, offering a fresh perspective on both familiar and novel subjects.

Photographers are encouraged to submit images that reflect their artistic interpretation of black and white photography, showcasing how this enduring medium continues to captivate and inspire.
