Open Call: Fables in Form

Industry:

Eligibility:

Asian Art Contemporary invites submissions for the virtual exhibition Fables in Form, a showcase where contemporary Asian artists explore the interplay between narrative and visual form. The exhibition considers how stories—personal, cultural, or imagined—are shaped not only by their content but also by the way they are expressed through artistic practice. Paintings, drawings, and other works carry traces of memory, gesture, and context, transforming form into a vessel for storytelling.

Contemporary artist Wu Shuang, multidisciplinary artist In Kyoung Chun, and writer & editor Jenny Wang have been invited as jurors for this open call. Their selections will reflect the exhibition’s dedication to presenting diverse approaches to storytelling in contemporary visual art. Fables in Form seeks works that reveal how meaning emerges through the dialogue between story and form, where the artwork itself becomes a site of narrative discovery.
