Guest Curator

Stephanie Chefas, the founder of Chefas Projects, has been independently curating art exhibits for over a decade in Los Angeles and San Francisco. Now based in Portland, she continues to showcase cutting-edge and often challenging work that demands attention. Chefas Projects highlights a diverse blend of contemporary artists from around the world, with a focus on cultivating new talent and encouraging risk and evolution among established visionaries. Her passion and dedication to the arts make her an ideal curator for this issue.

About the Issue

As an artist, you know how important it is to get your work in front of new audiences, curators, and art world leaders. That's why we are committed to creating opportunities like this one. By submitting your work, you gain visibility, recognition, and become part of a vibrant network of like-minded creatives. Selected artists will benefit from a two-page spread in the print issue, a dedicated blog post, and a social media post, ensuring your work reaches a broad and engaged audience. This issue is our way of celebrating your talent and commitment to the arts, and we are excited to continue this journey with you.

What is Create! Magazine?

Originally founded in 2013 as Fresh Paint Magazine, the publication rebranded to Create! Magazine in 2016 to showcase the incredible talent of emerging artists working across a variety of media. Since then, we’ve highlighted thousands of artists globally, sharing their creations, inspirations, and stories. Our magazine has been featured by leading media outlets such as Colossal, Apartment Therapy, and The Jealous Curator. We have partnered with art fairs like Art Miami, Moniker, Affordable Art Fair, and Superfine, and collaborated with brands such as Minted. Print issues are available in our online shop and at select independent bookstores worldwide.
