Insights of an Eco Artist (IOAEA) launches Voices of Dissent vol. III, a review series investigating artists whose practices stand at the intersection of ecological urgency, political intervention, and aesthetic innovation.

About the series

Voices of Dissent: Art and Politics, Vol. 3 is a review series by Insights of an Eco Artist (IOAEA) examining how contemporary artistic practices operate as forms of ecological, social, and political dissent. Moving beyond representation, the series offers conceptual, cultural, and visual interpretations of selected works, situating them within broader critical and theoretical frameworks. Each review engages artistic practice as a mode of intervention, one that challenges power structures, reshapes public discourse, and proposes alternative ways of seeing and acting.

About IOAEA

IOAEA (Insights of an Eco Artist) is an art organization dedicated to showcasing the work of artists who are addressing pressing ecological and social challenges through their creative practices.

Founded in 2021 by Joana Alarcão, IOAEA has evolved from its origins as an archival space into a dynamic communal hub that promotes collaboration and creativity through editorial work, residencies, exhibitions, and live talks.
