Project
Māk/Sīt [Make/Site] is a project thought just for the spaces of the Sala Santi Filippo and Giacomo, now head office of C.AR.M.E.
The intent is to deepen the site-specific topic in order to investigate the work that the artist does of himself in relation to his space, his time and his place. The site-specific artwork is compared to the environment in which it is but also to the community that lives it and that makes it alive.

Call’s object
C.AR.M.E. – Multicultural Ethnosocial Arts Centre, a reality that deals with multicultural contemporary art, calls young artists to realize site-specific projects.
The ones who participate to Māk/Sīt [Make/Site] have to take a site-specific project thought for the former church of Saints Filippo and Giacomo, head office of the Cultural Centre C.AR.M.E.
At the end of the call, it will be chosen a single project that will be exposed for a month inside the exhibition venue: from the 25th of October to the 1st of December 2019.

The selection is curated by C.AR.M.E., coordinated by Valeria Magnoli, Federica Scolari and Federica Zubani.

Call duration
The Call will be active from the 8th of April to the 30th of June 2019.

Recipients
The recipients of the Call are young artists, collectives and artists run spaces.
Max. age: 35 years old.

Who can’t participate to the Call:

• C.AR.M.E.’s associates
• the members of the jury, their spouses, their relatives and related until the 3rd grade included
• artists that collaborated with C.AR.M.E. in the past

Subscription fee
The participation to the Call is free.

FEE
The cultural association C.AR.M.E. offers to the winner a prize / reimbursement of expenses of € 500 (VAT included) + accommodation (max. 2 artists) from the 19th to the 25th of October 2019 + reimbursement of the trip expenses (for a max. of € 100).
C.AR.M.E. will produce the winning work for a maximum of € 2000 (materials reimbursement).

Communication of the selected projects
C.AR.M.E. will contact the winner by the end of July 2019.

Selection criteria
The Call invites to present a site-specific artistic project for the deconsecrated church of Saints Filippo and Giacomo (Brescia), place ran by the Cultural Centre C.AR.M.E.
It is possible to present proposals that articulates in more than a format (for example an exhibition with a live or a performance).

Progetto
Māk/Sīt [Make/Site] è un progetto pensato appositamente per gli spazi della Sala Santi Filippo e Giacomo, oggi sede di C.AR.M.E.
L’intento è quello di approfondire il tema dello site-specific per indagare sul lavoro che l’artista fa di sé in relazione al suo spazio, al suo tempo e al suo luogo. L’opera site-specific si confronta con l’ambiente in cui è inserita, ma anche con la comunità che la vive e la rende viva.

Oggetto della Call
C.AR.M.E. – Centro Arti Multiculturali Etnosociali, realtà che si occupa di arte contemporanea multiculturale, chiama giovani artisti alla realizzazione di progetti site-specific.
Chi partecipa al bando Māk/Sīt [Make/Site] è chiamato a portare un progetto site-specific pensato per la Sala Santi Filippo e Giacomo, sede dell’Associazione Culturale C.AR.M.E.
Al termine della Call verrà selezionato un solo progetto, che verrà poi esposto per un mese all’interno dello spazio espositivo: dal 25 Ottobre al 1 Dicembre 2019.

La selezione è a cura di C.AR.M.E., coordinata da Valeria Magnoli, Federica Scolari e Federica Zubani.

Durata della Call
La Call sarà attiva dall’8 Aprile al 30 Giugno 2019.

Destinatari
Destinatari della Call sono giovani artisti, collettivi, artists run spaces.
Età massima: 35 anni.
 

Non possono partecipare alla Call:

• soci di C.AR.M.E.
• i membri della Giuria, i loro coniugi, i loro parenti e affini fino al III grado compreso
• artisti con cui C.AR.M.E. ha collaborato

Quota di iscrizione
La partecipazione alla Call è gratuita.

FEE
L’Associazione Culturale C.AR.M.E. offre al vincitore un premio / rimborso spese di 500 € (iva inclusa) + alloggio (max. 2 artisti) dal 19 al 25 Ottobre 2019 + rimborso spese viaggio (per un massimo di 100 €).
C.AR.M.E. produrrà l’opera vincitrice per un massimo di € 2000 (rimborso materiali).

Comunicazione dei progetti selezionati
C.AR.M.E. contatterà il vincitore entro la fine del mese di Luglio  2019.

Criteri di selezione
La Call invita a presentare un progetto artistico site-specific per la Chiesa sconsacrata Santi Filippo e Giacomo (Brescia), luogo gestito dall’Associazione Culturale C.AR.M.E.
È possibile presentare proposte che si articolino in più formati (per esempio una mostra con un live o una performance).
