Call for Applications for the International Artistic Residency: CREATIVE FEMALE CONNECTIONS ART STUDIO & ART EXHIBITION “Female Art in Florence”

A Space for Contemporary Female Art
The objective of the Female Arts in Florence (FAF) program is to promote multicultural contemporary female art. The program supports women artists from around the world, providing them with a creative space to explore universal themes such as feminism, sustainability, social transformation, and integration. The residency culminates in a solo exhibition, ensuring visibility and networking opportunities.

Residency Dates and Cycles
The duration of the residency project will be a total of 4 months.
Collaboration must start at least 2 months before the residency date.

First Residency: February 2025 (exhibition in March).
Second Residency: April 2025 (exhibition in May).
Third Residency: June 2025 (exhibition in July).
Fourth Residency: September 2025 (exhibition in October).
Fifth Residency: November 2025 (exhibition in December-January).

Project Theme
“Female Space”:
Focus on exploring abstraction and conceptual themes in relation to universal topics, such as feminism, sustainability, social transformation, and integration, reflecting on contemporary issues through artistic, installation, or performance projects.

Second Residency (April): Application deadline: December 31. Selection announced on 5 Jannuary

Fifth Residency (November): Application deadline: July 31.Selection announced on 5 August

Selection
After reviewing applications, selected artists will receive email confirmation and sign a participation contract.

Location and Culture
Florence is an iconic city for art, but this residency offers a unique combination of contemporary focus, craftsmanship, and inclusivity. Artists at the gallery come from international backgrounds, fostering cultural exchange.

Networking and Visibility
The final gallery exhibition ensures visibility for the created works, providing opportunities to connect with collectors and curators. Collaborations with other artists or artisans in the gallery are also encouraged.

Costs and Payment Options
Standard Package: €2200
Discounted Price: €1300 (40% discount for economic support).
