SIMULTAN FESTIVAL 2019 - CALL FOR VIDEO SUBMISSIONS!

DEADLINE: 14th OCTOBER 2019

In 2019, SIMULTAN festival carries the theme “There will be a time when it will not be“, which aims to question technology’s influence on the different aspects of individual and social life, to explore speculative situations, and to disturb the standardized image of the future as a cult of infinite progress and development. The festival delves into the realms of personal, political, social, philosophical and existential aspects of our day and age, by pointing out the various ways in which the artists respond to and how they record those changes, and how they imagine the future.

We are open for submissions of innovative video works, related to the festival motto.

– CATEGORIES: video / experimental video; documentary / experimental documentary; digital / generative.
– NUMBER OF WORKS: 2 max. / author.
– DURATION: 10 minutes max. each
– VIDEO FORMAT: AVI or MOV; format 16:9 or 4:3 (recommended compression H.264; sound 48kh).

The video must contain the title of the work author’s name and year of production.

All works will be watched works and selected by a jury. Only those accepted will become part of the Festival screening program. The decision of the jury is final.

Incomplete applications will not be considered!
All the artists will be notified by the end of October 2019.
