'Art Like Salt' 2024 Open Call for Residency Artists 
Taepyung Salt Farm X ROWILAB seeks artists to submit entries for the juried exhibition, ‘Art Like Salt.’ The winners will be chosen to participate in a residency program in Shinan, designated a ‘Slow City’, in South Jeolla Province, South Korea, with the opportunity to create work in any of the following formats; photography, video, installation, sculpture, or sound with the theme of ‘Human, All Too Human'.

2024 Theme :  Human, All Too Human
The days when people accepted 'born and die' as their fate are behind us. Science has created many options for making, maintaining, and ending life, and accordingly, life has sometimes become a matter of choice and judgment. We are all standing on the road not yet taken.
History tells us, where there is human desire, there is progress in science and technology. Technology cannot be developed and survived by technology alone. Technology that goes beyond human limits is growing in the human mind. The question is can we humans control our desires and can we agree on a criteria for control.
At this point in time, we have the ability to manipulate and choose the direction of our lives in ways we have never been able to before. What we need now is understand the fundamental question, ‘what is life?'. We must talk again about how we define what we have thus far referred to as nature or providence so that philosophy and art can continue the most human history.
