Artists in residence will immerse themselves in the electro-etching technique guided by specialist Alfonso Crujera, who has been introducing printmakers from around the world to this safer and environmentally conscious method since 2002. Author of the Electro-etching Handbook: A Safe, Non-Toxic Approach, Crujera brings years of expertise to this unique residency.

Set in the spectacular surroundings of the Gran Canaria Biosphere Reserve, the workshop offers breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and a serene natural environment—an ideal place for both artistic reflection and creation.

Electro-etching revitalizes the classic tradition of intaglio by making the process safer, ecological, and versatile, while opening new expressive and innovative possibilities for printmakers. Accessible and affordable, the technique allows artists to expand their technical skills and creative vision.
