CALL TO PARTICIPATE IN THE FESTIVAL TODAY IS 2030

The 2nd edition of the Festival ‘Today is 2030’ proposes an international call for emerging artists to participate under the subtitle ‘Loving arts’. The aim of this festival is to delve deeper into the concept of love as possibility, attitude and form of resistance; acting as a force that generates links and alternative models to conceive social relationships that go beyond the mechanisms of power.
The present mood is that the positive outlook for the future has been compromised by a widespread trend of imbalance between overabundance and scarcity. Humanity reveals itself as a main destructive agent in a dramatic encounter between natural history and the history of mankind. We face, without a doubt, a new awareness of heartbreak. The festival proposes to mobilize different aesthetic vocabularies to interrogate the love event, and its relationship with the transformation of society and that of the Earth. Can we talk about love as a driving force for acts of courage and transgression to inhabit the planet in another way and, why not, eroticize it?
‘Loving arts’ is a call to thought and artistic creation: imagine waking up on an ordinary day, in the middle of 2030. You look around and you make a work of artistic creation inspired by other forms of love speech. The goal is to prove or prove wrong that a planetary democratic project is possible.
