About the artist

- Applicants do not need to have a formal arts education but must demonstrate an active arts practice.
- Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to making work; expanding their outlook or thinking; adding to their skill sets; and taking part in either exhibitions, an artistic community or both.
- We are interested to hear from artists who undertake other work of any kind alongside their practice.
- Those who are still undertaking university or college programs, or who have finished such programs (BA, MA, other diplomas) within a year of the deadline are not eligible. 

Expected from the artist

A blogpost, article or interview of minimum 750 words or ten images documenting thinking and processes undertaken during the residency.
There is no expectation to produce final work.
The residency does not come with any opportunity to exhibit work.

We can support

• drawing
  painting
  small scale sculpture
  research / computer work / writing
  field work in woods or an agricultural environment
  visits to the Roman dig site
  the organisers are open to customising set-up for other work, please enquire

Practicalities

• Breakfast is provided. Other meals are the responsibility of the artist.
  One kitchen and one bathroom serves up to four artists.
  There is no public transport to or from Oristà.
  Airport transfers are offered for 20€ per person, each way.
  Hosts can communicate in English, Spanish and Catalan.
  All residents are required to pay a registration fee of 50€.
  In addition, there is a fee of either 5€ per night for artists staying in the dormitory, or 8€ in private rooms.
  Fees must be paid in full, in cash (euros) on arrival.
