"Drifting Vision" invites digital artists to explore themes inspired by the book *Wayward*. This open call celebrates the intricate dance between digital realms and narrative, urging artists to delve into themes of transformation, resilience, and the power of women's voices. In a world that often feels adrift, artists are encouraged to anchor their work in stories of strength, innovation, and the quest for meaning.
Who can participate:
Digital artists from all corners of the globe are encouraged to participate in "Drifting Vision" Whether you specialise in digital painting, 3D modelling, animation, or any other digital medium, we welcome your unique interpretation of this theme. If you create installations, please send us an email at thearthgallerylondon@gmail.com to discuss the feasibility of setting up in our space.
Key Points for Artists to Consider:
Digital Alchemy: experiment with the transformative power of digital art, blending disparate elements to create something entirely new and unexpected.
Narrative Remix: reimagine familiar stories, myths, or cultural motifs through a digital lens, infusing them with contemporary relevance and innovation. Highlight the themes of female empowerment and resilience as inspired by the protagonists in *Wayward*.
Techno-Optimism: explore the potential of digital technology to inspire wonder, connection, and positive change in an increasingly digital world.
Submission Deadline:
Artists are invited to submit their work by 12 July 2024 at 8 PM (London time).
Technical Conditions:
The setup will include three 6000 lumen laser projectors, which will project onto two walls and the ceiling. Each projection will cover an area of approximately 5 meters per wall. For sound, we'll be using two Tannoy monitors, each with 120 watts. The sound will be stereo, not surround, but we assure you it’s of excellent quality. All artworks will be displayed in rotation for a maximum of 1-3 minutes each, during the opening times of the art space.
Application Process:
Please submit your artwork via this form or, in case of emergency, via email at thearthgallerylondon@gmail.com. Selected artists will be required to pay £30.00 per artwork.
At The eARTh Space, we are dedicated to supporting artists at every stage of their creative journey.
