Call for Artists | Platform for Emerging Arts #24

This is a call-out to artists who identify as emerging and who wish to participate in a curated group exhibition as part of Leyden Gallery’s quarterly lease programme Platform for Emerging Arts. Proposed Exhibition dates 16-29 June 2020

The Platform for Emerging Arts #24 is part of Leyden Gallery’s ongoing programme of events enabling emerging artists to be introduced to the art world. The Platform show is a two-week exhibition, supported by a private view and other sponsored events. It is an international call, open to artists of all ages, and for artwork created with any kind of medium. The works will be exhibited at the Gallery at House Mill, an exclusive location in Bromley-by-Bow (London).

 Leyden Gallery offers:

  • The highest level of expertise and mentorship during and after the exhibition, and the opportunity of future collaborations with the gallery.
  • Full organisation of the Private View, with experienced staff that will facilitate sales and help to introduce the guests to the artists, plus a licensed bar and a professional photographer to document the private view.
  • PR & Marketing: promotion of the event through online press, major art blog sites, a newsletter, and printed materials. The exhibition will feature on Leyden Gallery’s website.
  • Installation and de-installation of the artworks.
  • Invigilation throughout the duration of the exhibition.
  • 0% commission (T&C’s and lease fee apply)
  • During and after the exhibition, the artworks will be available for sale on the Gallery’s website and presented as part of our arts consultancy package *ARTY, available to corporate and high-end clients.

Apply now to have the chance to be part of Leyden Gallery, a nomadic gallery and art consultancy with an online-presence and based in London and Edinburgh.

Leyden Gallery is a nomadic and unique art gallery that was founded in 2013 on the boundaries of The City of London and Spitalfields. Prior to closing their City of London gallery location in October 2019, Gallery owners Adriana Cerne & Lindsay Moran trail-blazed a series of outstanding national and international exhibitions. Since leaving the gallery space last year, they have focused on the development of a virtual gallery and innovative collaborative projects including continued work with emerging and established artists. Leyden Gallery has built a distinct reputation as a vibrant and forward-thinking gallery, exhibiting work by both new and established artists; with previous shows featuring stellar names such as Paula Rego, Henry Moore, Wilhelmina Barns-Graham and Nan Goldin amongst others.

The House Mill Gallery is part of the House Mill, a grade 1 listed 18th century tidal mill set in a beautiful riverside location in the heart of London’s East End. Today, the House Mill Trust delivers a range of activities and events, including heritage tours, concerts and, of course, art exhibitions, hosting world-famous artists such as Bill Viola.

The House Mill is well connected to the city centre, that makes the gallery the perfect location for an art exhibition. The nearest station is Bromley-by-Bow, which is served by the Hammersmith & City and District lines and is a 5-minute walk away
