Exhibition Foreword:

In the complex web of contemporary society, human existence seems to oscillate between constant pursuit and constant loss. The void, as a profound metaphor of this era, transcends mere emptiness or hollowness. It lurks in the cracks of daily life, flickering in the depths of human consciousness. Through their works, the artists attempt to express these intangible feelings with an invisible language, showcasing a complex reflection on life, emotion, and society.

Within this endless void, the emotions and inner desolation of the individual become narratives told through lines and colors on the canvas. Whether it is the solitary figure or the endless echo, each piece of work seems to tell a story of loss and search. Every detail is filled with subtle tension, reminding us that behind the apparent prosperity and clamor, there lies a void within the human heart, an unspoken anxiety. The sense of nothingness in life is not merely a lack; it is a resonance born from the tension with reality. It leads us to question: as the material world outside becomes increasingly fulfilled, why does our inner world still fail to find peace and fullness?

The structure of society subtly pushes the existence of the individual; every defined identity and every prearranged role seems to make one lose themselves. That faint unease and dissatisfaction unfold before the viewer like an endless void, something that cannot be touched yet lingers in the mind. In this void, the connection between individuals becomes increasingly blurred, and the cracks in social relationships quietly emerge. It reminds us: in an increasingly complex world, the existence of the individual seems so insignificant, as if we are always being guided by an invisible force toward a destiny we cannot choose.

Artworks, with their ineffable language, deconstruct our perceptions of the world, others, and ourselves. From the early concept of empty space to modern art’s bold breakthroughs in form and composition, artists gradually discovered that so-called "emptiness" is not a lack, but a space full of new possibilities. The void is an open state, an infinite space waiting to be filled and understood. Throughout history, artists have continually challenged traditional modes of expression, attempting to capture the inner world of humans in deeper and more complex ways. Today, the void reemerges at the core of art, offering us a fresh perspective to examine the relationship between the self and the world.

Each piece of work is an exploration, a dialogue that transcends time, space, and culture. Through delicate expression, they tear away the surface of modern life, revealing the hidden emotions and dilemmas within. The emptiness on the canvas, the fractures in sculptures, even certain imperfections in space—all silently pose the same question: in this noisy era, how do we understand existence itself? How do we face that endless void and find meaning within it?

This is not only an expression of "the void" itself but also a call to the inner world of the audience. When viewers stand before these works, it feels as if they are transported into an unknown realm, both lost and filled with anticipation. In this void, the artist does not give answers. The ideas in the works offer the audience countless possibilities and reflections. They make the viewer realize that the void is not the end of darkness, but the constant stirring and breathing within everyone’s soul. It is the eternal question of existence, and an infinite call for freedom and liberation.
