The Body Eclectic '21

Since our Call-for-Entry process has moved entirely on-line, we have to change the timeline as well and begin the call process in December for our annual February exhibit. So welcome to our CALL for ENTRY for the Body Eclectic '21.

Key Dates:

January 3, 2021: Entry Deadline

~But the Early Bird Discount* on entry fee ends December 19th~

January 11, 2021:  Notification of acceptance/decline

January 28 - 30: Drop off accepted artwork (during gallery hours)

February 4 - 26: Exhibition Dates

February 5th, 1-9 pm: Reception Day

February 14th, 2-5 pm: Mid-Month Reception

February 27, 28th: Pick-up all unsold work

Note: Due to Covid-19 concerns, we will provide bottled water and packaged "treats" at the receptions, and have extended the reception time-frame to allow viewers to attend with no more than 10 people in the gallery at one time.  MASKS ARE REQUIRED TO ENTER THE GALLERY AT ALL TIMEs.

• This competition is open to artists over 18 years of age, and within 50 miles of Detroit.

Each entry may include up to two pieces of art for $35.  *Artists who enter before December 19th get a $5 discount!

Awards will include BEST OF SHOW ($150), 2nd Place ($75) and Honorable Mentions.  More awards may be possible if we get a high number of entries.

All entries must be for sale and not have been exhibited at Lawrence Street Gallery before.  Art can be no larger than 40" wide or weigh more than 50 lbs.

Lawrence Street Gallery will retain 30% of the sale price on all pieces sold at the gallery.

Artwork may not be removed prior to the end of the exhibit (by artists or buyers) and will be available for sale on our website.

Artwork must be ready for exhibit (framed & wired properly).

Labels for the back of the artwork will be provided via email after your entry has been received.  Please print the label and attach to back of artwork after acceptance information is emailed to you.

Images submitted for entry must be no larger than 2Mb.  If you need assistance sizing your files, or uploading them to us, please call Cindy Parsons at 248-656-2291 or make an appointment to meet someone who can help at the gallery to process the entry.

Lawrence Street Gallery will exercise professional care in the handling of all entries, but cannot assume liability for loss or damage while works are in our possession.

All unsold work must be picked up February 27th.  Alternative arrangements can be made by notifying the gallery (phone or email).

Artists whose work is exhibited in this show give Lawrence Street Gallery permission to use submitted images for promotion and display for sale on our website.

In the event an unavoidable event, including Covid-19 restrictions, should prevent the show from taking place, the event will be cancelled and entry fees will be refunded.

   Remember:  ALL ENTRIES MUST BE SUBMITTED BY JANUARY 3RD!
