BIG INK Visits Whiteaker Printmakers

This Spring BIG INK is hosting a large-scale woodblock printing event at Whiteaker Printmakers.  Artists interested in carving a woodblock of at least 24 by 36 inches are invited to apply to print with us.  No prior experience is required and emerging, mid-career, and established visual artists are encouraged to apply.  Upon acceptance, artists have two months to carve their design.  We then meet at Whiteaker in Eugene, OR and help each other print as a group. 

Participation includes: access to BIG INK’s woodblock carving video course leading up to the event, paper, ink, cleaning supplies, studio equipment usage, technical expertise during the event, and a high-res scan of the finished print after the event.  It is free to submit an application; accepted artists pay $300 to participate. Experience art-making on a monumental scale, explore a creative place, and connect with program participants from coast to coast.
