Probably the most common question artists get asked is: “What inspired you to make this artwork?” Across history, artists have drawn inspiration from their lived experiences, their surroundings, their cultural roots, political climates, and their imagination. As art evolved, so did the sources of influence, getting artists to respond not only to the world around them but also to one another, shaping new styles through admiration and reinterpretation. Every artist carries their very own perspective, a distinct visual language, and a creative vision that makes their work uniquely their own. This March, we’re excited to bring back our Influences group exhibition, first presented in Autumn 2023. This showcase invites you to share artworks that reflect the subjects that have influenced you and your art.
