dodomu gallery is excited to announce an open call Heatwave. The exhibition will run from August 7 - September 18, 2025 on our website.

Heatwave is an exhibition that aims to capture the essence, intensity, and vibrancy of summer. From the scorching sun to the cool relief of shade, from the vibrant colors of summer blooms to the lazy, hazy days of summer vacation, we seek works that embody the season's spirit. We invite artists to explore the multifaceted experiences of summer and its visual language - warmth, bright colors, light, energy and emotions it evokes.

Contemporary representational and abstract work will be considered. Artists are invited to submit their work related to the exhibition theme in various media of drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, sculpture, installations, ceramics, textiles, photography, digital and mixed media.

ELIGIBILITY:

• Open to all international artists 18 years and older

• All visual art media will be considered

Selected artworks will be displayed as an online exhibition and promoted on Instagram. Only original artworks are accepted and allowed, artworks can not be substituted once accepted. The gallery currently does not take a commission fee on sold works and all sales will be referred back to the artist. We encourage you to list artwork for sale but it is not a requirement.
