The Big Bang Challenge

CREA’s Weeklys Challenges are week-long art challenges crafted to get the creative juices flowing! This weeks inspiring theme is The Big Bang!

Approximately 13.8 billion years ago, a singularity occurred in space; there was a state of very high density and an expansion took place. After this initial expansion, the universe was born with the formation of subatomic particles and simple atoms. Thanks to gravity, giant clouds of these elements joined together to form the planets, stars and galaxies we study today. The Earth is just a tiny little speck in this infinitely large cosmos. In our day to day lives it’s easy to lose sight of the big picture.

In this challenge this is exactly what we are asking you to consider, take a look back at the history, the science, and the symbolism of the creation of the universe. Take inspiration from all of this and post a project, photo, illustration, collage, 3d model… or whatever you think embodies this unique moment of space and time. The challenge is open to all public.
