Food Stories and Recipes Exchange : Open Call

This is a food stories and recipes exchange project. We invite you to share a memory and recipe of a food that holds personal meaning for you. In return, you will receive one or more recipes and stories from others. You can then recreate these dishes guided by the shared stories. 

The goal of the project is to build a network of connections by exploring and sharing personal food experiences, stories, and memories. It seeks to understand how we cherish, associate, interact and listen to food. We have chosen sound as our methodology and hope to delve into the hidden micro-ecologies around food.

This project will create a network of sound based-recipes that can be translated and complied into an experimental book and/or installation. Everyone who takes part will be credited and a selection will be used within the final publication and exhibition at Kupfer Gallery, London (UK).

Please follow the link below and note that your contributions can be uploaded as a text or audio recording (mp3). There is no length limit and you can submit in any language. If submitting an audio recording, please find a quiet space if possible to record. Only share what you are comfortable with and don't feel an obligation to answer any questions you don’t want to. (Max file size 5GB). 

Contribution examples could be a poem, a recording of a meal (with a description of what it is), voice recording, plan descriptive text, interview or script. Please also provide your email to receive a selection of stories in exchange with your contribution.
