Invisible Wings - Call for Submission

Invisible Wings Call for Submission Queen Gallery is now calling for submissions for our upcoming exhibition which will take place on January 23rd 2019. To celebrate the Spring Festival (Chinese Lunar New Year), the most important holiday throughout the year in Chinese culture, we are looking for works from Chinese artists or artists who also celebrate this holiday. Throughout our lives, there are people who take care of and love us, giving us the courage and strength to help us get through the pain-filled difficult times. In the upcoming year, the year of the pig, we would like to invite artists to create artwork inspired by the idea of fostering, thinking about the support that we receive in our lives. How do we treasure and appreciate these invisible wings that encourage and accompany us?  Submission Guidelines

Submission: 

Submit your CV,  a filled Application Form saved as a Word document or Office, and up to 6 high resolution JPG images of artwork (name your images title_firstname_lastname) to info@queengallery.ca. Please, complete subject line as follows:

Invisible Wings Call for Submission 2019_Artists Full Name.

All artwork must be up to 24’’ Width (including frame, if artwork is framed) and artists can submit up to 3 artworks.

*Images of participating artworks may be used for marketing and promotional purposes by Queen Gallery.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: Monday, January 7th by midnight

SUBMISSION FEE: Free

PARTICIPATION FEE:

$60.00 (for first submission) $5.00 (for each additional work, maximum 3 works per artist)

Participation Fees are only paid if your work is selected to be part of the exhibition.

Important Dates:

DROP OFF: January 18th 4 pm to 6 pm

          January 19th 4 pm to 6 pm

EXHIBITION: January 23rd to February 2nd 

OPENING RECEPTION: Wednesday, January 23rd from 7 pm to 9 pm

PICK UP: Saturday, February 2nd from 6 pm to 7 pm
