The exhibition will also be available internationally online through the ARTgrID platform for 2 months.

In addition you can submit photos and videos documenting public art installations in public places worldwide, thus documenting them and showing them in the exhibition, making then known in Greece and worldwide though the web edition of the physical exhibition and the catalogue.
Conceptual Framework. The idea that the art of creative reuse (upcycling) transforms recyclable waste into artworks may downgrade one of the most significant movements of our time. Although the practice originates from Ecology, it has minimal relation to traditional practices. Upcycling in art is proposed instead of rejection and conventional recycling of materials, as ideas, symbols, and images, are also upcycled in creating objects of greater cultural and social value. Upcycling not only transforms the material element but draws inspiration from a strong ecological consciousness, encouraging artists and the public to think unconventionally, challenging traditional concepts of creation in visual arts. It often suggests the reuse of Art itself as a powerful social commentary, aligned with sustainability and innovation, offering criticism of the traditional concept of material value, transience, and consumer culture. Furthermore, the utilization of Artificial Intelligence in creating original artworks can be considered a form of upcycling of human cultural visualizations and may be accepted as a tool for the artist. However, there is a view that artificial intelligence may detract from authentic creativity. In any case, creative reuse advocates that everything, conceptual or material, thrives through endless transformations, reconsiderations, and vision.
About the “Infinite Forms” exhibition series. “Infinite Forms” is a series of exhibitions based on the concept of the art curator Paris Kapralos, exploring the tangible and conceptual recycling of human culture in art. The series started in 2023 and will present an exhibition annually, aiming to promote artists who produce works of creative reuse and/or explore the re-evaluation/new meaning of elements and images of Culture to the broader audience.
