Woman Made Gallery Call for Art: 4th Midwest Open

EXHIBITION DATES: JANUARY 22 – FEBRUARY 13, 2021

FINAL ENTRY DEADLINE: NOVEMBER 21, 2020

NOTIFICATIONS: DECEMBER 4, 2020

Exhibition Description: Open to all female identified artists residing in one of the twelve Midwestern States to submit artwork for an open themed exhibition. States include: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. All themes, styles, and media will be considered. Artwork that explores or challenges conceptual and material boundaries is encouraged.

Juror: Brenda Oelbaum is a feminist, multimedia, conceptual artist, working in whatever medium best translates the intended message. Oelbaum  holds a MA in Gallery Administration from the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC and was the founding President of the Michigan Chapter of the Women’s Caucus for Art and is the Michigan Representative for the Feminist Art Project.
