SHIM Invitational

SHIM is pleased to announce an open call to visual artists in all media for our Invitational program.

SHIM is a new arts exhibition company that fills the gaps in the art world, providing exhibition opportunities to artists, curators, and other organizations and affiliations without the means to mount their projects on their own.

SHIM Invitationals are our premier initiative for supporting the needs of individual artists seeking to exhibit their work. Invitationals take place twice each year in Brooklyn, New York at our home gallery in Bushwick, with ambitions to expand the program more frequently and in additional locations.

If selected by our team, your work will be included in a two-week curated exhibition, with 100% of all sales retained by YOU, the artist.

SHIM Invitational 1 was held in December 2015, and featured work by ten exceptional artists from our initial applicant pool.

SHIM Invitational 2 will take place June 3rd – 12th, 2016 at the SHIM home gallery in Brooklyn, NY. Applications will be considered for SHIM Invitational 2 through April 30th.

SHIM Invitational 3 will take place in December 2016 at the SHIM home gallery in Brooklyn, NY. Applications will be considered for SHIM Invitational 3 through Sept 30th.

After applying, your application will be held for 12 months and considered for all additional Invitational exhibitions as they are scheduled.
