Applications are now open for the Encontros da Imagem Portfolio Reviews 2025 award.
If you are an emerging photographer, this is a unique opportunity to present your photographic projects to international experts in the field - curators, gallery owners, editors and directors of museums and festivals from around the world.
After the selection phase, 32 photographers are invited to participate in the portfolio readings, which take place on September 18 and 19 in Braga. The winner will have their work exhibited at the festival in 2026 and will receive a cash prize of €3,000.
The open call runs until May 18. Different types of projects are accepted - photography, video, installation, mixed media.
Registration: €30 per application. Until May 18, 2025.

Winner receives 3.000€, a solo exhibition in the 2026 edition of the festival, and has their project published in KATALOG magazine. 3 Honorable Mentions selected for a video projection in 2026.
