Osprey Visions

Osprey watch is excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for young artists to showcase their talents as part of the 15-year celebration of osprey conservation at Kielder Water, Northumberland.

Participation Details:

• Age Groups: Under 14s | 14-19
• Theme: Ospreys and their natural habitat + conservation efforts

How to Participate:

• Create Your Artwork: Use any medium to depict the beauty of the osprey (not accepting performative or video work).
• Submit Your Entry: Fill out the form and upload a high-quality image of your artwork on our website linked.

Judging and Finalists:

A panel of judges, including Osprey Watch volunteers, ecologists, and local artists, will review submissions and select winners based on creativity, originality, and adherence to the theme. Winners will be announced via social media and personal emails/texts.

The project is a partnership between Northumberland Wildlife Trust, Kielder Water & Forest Park Development Trust, Forestry England, and Wild Intrigue. Northumberland Wildlife Trust manages the hard-working volunteers that run the public viewing point for Osprey Watch at Tower Knowe nature reserve in the heart of Kielder. Forestry England provides the technological infrastructure that allows us to see the nests and monitor the ospreys’ progress. All of this is very much dependent on donations from the public either at the viewing point, when it is open, or through the Northumberland Wildlife Trust’s donation page.
