RIGA CONTEMPORARY SURREALIM BIENNALE 2026

RIGA CONTEMPORARY SURREALISM BIENNALE is focused on Automatism, Biomorphism, Dada, Metaphysical Art, and Surrealism. 
The Biennale is a platform for experimentation, showcasing artist’s works and ideas.  It is a hub for networking allowing artists to connect directly with collectors, curators of museums, art professionals, other artists, and new audiences. 

RIGA CONTEMPORARY SURREALISM BIENNALE includes:
a) Exhibitions:

• Live, from May 10th till May 29th, 2026 at the exhibition halls of the Latvian Railway Museum 
• 3D Virtual from May 10th 2026 till May 30th, 2027. 

b) Artist’s talks, Panel discussions, Contests, Interviews, and Publications.

We invite artists from around the world on any stage of their careers who attribute their oeuvre to Automatism, Biomorphism, Dada, Metaphysical Art, and Surrealism to submit their application for consideration. The following types of visual art are considered for the Biennale: paintings, graphics, collages, original printmaking, photographs, ceramics and mixed media objects, video, sculptures, installations.  
Participation can be: a) in person, b) absentee, or any combination of (a) and (b). 

Upon request Organizing Committee will assist  participants with their shipments for the live exhibition with special delivery rates  and door-to-door service.  It significantly reduces the shipping costs and makes shipments easy.
