Now in our 10th Year, Dare to Dance in Public Film Festival (D2D) is an international festival devoted to celebrating, promoting, and democratizing dance and the genre of Screen Dance as a boundary crossing art form. D2D presents films that explore the intersections of dance and the camera, and dance as an urgent, irrational, and universal language. D2D is a platform for Dance and Dance Films that expand our conceptions of what it is to be human and alive in the world today.

Dare to Dance in Public Film Festival distributes awards of (minimum) $100 in various categories e.g. MOST DARING, BEST INTERFACE OF DANCE & PUBLIC, BEST EDITING and more as determined by a panel of internationally recognized judges from the worlds of Dance, Film, Theater, and more
