Call for Submissions: Literature and Art

Call for submissions for an anthology on the experiences of LGBTQIA+ persons and allies. This anthology edition aims to share the LGBTQIA+ community’s and allies' experiences or thoughts on love, radical acceptance, and inclusion. Everyone is urged to submit their written or artistic work for consideration. Essays and fictional pieces should be a maximum of 5,000 words. Submissions will be accepted until January 31, 2025. The following submissions will be accepted: art, photography, poems, fiction, non-fiction, short stories, comics, sermons, essays, chants, and prayers.

Guidelines:

1. There is no entry fee
2. All submitted works must be unpublished
3. We do not accept simultaneous submissions, let us know immediately if your work is published or accepted elsewhere.
4. All submissions must include a short and current bio, pen name, physical address, email address, and phone number
5. All work must be your own.
6. Prose Format- Submit your work in MS Word (.doc, .docx) or Open Office format. Use 12 font, double-spaced, Arial font with one-inch margins. Please include your name within the footer of the document. Limit of 5000 words.
7. Art Format- Up to four high-resolution files preferably within JPEG (.jpg) or PNG (.png) format, 900-1500 pixels wide, 300 dpi or greater. We reserve the right to edit or crop submissions to fit the page.
8. Each artist will be compensated $25 for every published work

Terms and Agreement

The anthology retains first publishing rights on works published in print or online, with non-exclusive rights to reproduce, display, and or distribute the submission(s) as a part of the anthology in electronic format. Publishing rights revert back to the submitter, twelve months after initial publication.

Only submissions submitted electronically via email to faith.lgbtqia@gmail.com will be accepted. All submitters will receive a response with the status of their acceptance or non-acceptance within 5 days.
