Baroque Blue Ionian SeArt Residency is an art project signed by Primo Piano LivinGallery that sees protagonists in each edition, artists, poets, writers, performers, filmmakers, musicians, and their Art Curator in one of the most beautiful places in Salento: Santa Caterina di Nardò and Porto Selvaggio Regional Preserve Park in Apulia’s region, Italy. 

Participants of all ages and backgrounds are called to live a unique experience, in close contact with the NATURE and the CULTURE of the place, getting to know the millenary history and GENIUS LOCI of Salento and enabled to produce artworks site-specific and site-inspired by inputs received. At the end of the residency, the works produced are exhibited in situ during the final day, with party, banquets, projections and more. 

Common to almost all traditional shamanic cultures is the VISION of spiritual reality divided into three worlds: the Lower World, the Middle World and the Upper World. These three overlapping worlds are connected to each other by the COSMIC TREE that the ARTIST-SHAMAN can use to make a journey into the past and a return to the present, with the creation of poems, sounds, performances and site specific and site inspiration works of contemporary art… accompanied by your GUIDE-CURATOR.

This part of the project is dedicated to the Middle World, that is, the spiritual counterpart of the world in which we human beings live. In this World we meet the Spirits of Nature, spirits of trees, stones, flowers, the five elements, etc. with whom it is possible to come into contact by acquiring information and greater knowledge of natural reality and its healing and divination powers. Holistic practices in nature are included in the project.
