Behind Dramaturgy: Stories You Rarely Told Others

It is easy - especially in this age of ever increasing mis/disinformation (‘fake news’), identity politics, and polarisation - to overlook that behind each ‘mask’ that we wear for social presentation in our mundane routines, there is a real person underneath: ‘Man is by nature a political/social animal’.

The person is longing for love but feels a necessity to hide parts of themselves, those that are considered ‘inconvenient facts’, thought of as truly reflective of the life path and trajectories we have been on. 

Striving to be our authentic selves is meaningful for twofold reasons - it helps us to establish a solid sense of self that is resistant to times of adversity; besides, only when we are well grounded can we try to communicate meaningful messages and build up relationships that are not merely superficial products of the consumerist era.
