Emerging Leaders Summit

The Appalachian Trail Conservancy (ATC) is hosting a 2021 Emerging Leaders Summit! The Summit is a virtual experience with participation centered on young people aged 14-35 but open to all.

This summer’s Summit will strengthen connections between young leaders and their networks, spark momentum for youth movements at the intersection of nature and climate justice, and provide a space for artistic creation and performance utilizing the outdoors and the Appalachian Trail as a muse.

Through our Art show, Summit participants will have the chance to communicate their creative energies. The Art Exhibition invites creators from various mediums to show their work to the world. ELS participants will have the opportunity to view the exhibition on ATC’s website and meet with the artists behind the work via Zoom breakout rooms from 3- 4:45 pm EDT. Judges from Monson Arts and Arts Mid-Hudson will assess the submissions. Cash awards will be offered for the top 3 artists whose work best fits the selection criteria.
