Some Bodies

‘Some Bodies’ is an exploration of intimacy and identity through depictions of the human figure. Submitted works will seek to answer questions  that are pertinent to today’s society — What does it mean to be human? How do we connect and find community with other people, emotionally and physically? What does it mean to be perceived, with or without objectification? And what makes a body ‘somebody’? 

This open call will have a selection committee and is open to a diverse range of art forms, such as painting, photography, textile work, ceramic, video, and sound art. The show will run from mid/late May to mid July.  Submissions are due by March 22. A Jotform account is required to apply. fee of $25 is required for a submission of up to three works per application. Emerging artists are waived from this fee. Those wanting to submit sound/film/projection works must provide their own technology. There is a required size limit of 30” x 30”, and preferred size limit of 25” x 25”
