Hegeler Carus Mansion Steampunk Fashion Show

The Hegeler Carus Mansion is placing a call for entries for a Steampunk Fashion Show. Ten works will be selected for the fashion show on September 19, 2026 in the Grove at the Hegeler Carus Mansion in La Salle, IL. 

The Hegeler Carus Mansion, a National Historic Landmark, designed by renowned architect, W.W. Boyington and interior designer, August Fiedler, strive to create experiences that enhance the architectural history and family legacy. The goal of our 2026 Steampunk Fashion Show (a part of our 2026 Gala) is to showcase national textile artists and costume designers while enhancing the Mansion's impact through this annual event. The juror for this year's fashion show will be textile artist, Jane Case Vickers. 

Jane received an MFA in Fibers with an emphasis in Papermaking from Southern Illinois University. Jane currently teaches metals/jewelry at the University of Southern Indiana and is Director of Arts and Education programs at Patchwork Central in Evansville, IL. She works in sculpture and jewelry. Her work is featured in Fiber Art Design Book IV (Lark Books).
