Theme Introduction of the Art Grand Prix:

In today’s era of information overload and accelerating pace, the world we inhabit is undergoing unprecedented transformation. Technology is advancing rapidly, globalization continues to progress, yet at the same time, many traditional values, ideas, and natural landscapes are gradually fading away in this wave of change. Are we still paying attention to those forgotten historical chapters, those cultural symbols that once closely connected with our lives? Have the natural gifts and spiritual emblems, which once held meaning, been abandoned in the rush of modernization?

"The Lost Vision" – 2025 London Contemporary Art Review Exhibition was created to explore this increasingly visible void and sense of alienation. As the theme of this exhibition, "The Lost Vision" reminds us that the loss of vision is not only a visual disappearance but also a disregard for the memories and values of the past, as well as a regret for the future. Through various media such as painting, sculpture, photography, video, and installation, artists will take viewers into a world that is both real and fictional, revealing the cultural heritage, natural landscapes, and spiritual values we are slowly distancing ourselves from.

In a rapidly changing society, many cultural and historical meanings of the past are overlooked over time. Whether it is the traditional villages that are disappearing in the urbanization process, or the local languages and cultures marginalized under the tide of globalization, our vision seems to be experiencing an unprecedented "loss." Some have been forgotten, some ignored, and even some intangible memories are gradually blurring. This transformation makes us reflect: as we follow the trends, have we inadvertently lost the elements that form the foundation of our identity and emotions?

This exhibition is open to artists worldwide, inviting them to delve into these "lost" visions through their creations. Through their works, we will witness the clash of perspectives from different times and backgrounds, experience those forgotten historical moments, and engage with the natural landscapes that are gradually detached from modern life. We will even reflect on the definition and value of "memory." The artists' works are not only a call to the past but also a wake-up call for the future. They are not only an artistic language but also an expression of humanistic concern.

"The Lost Vision" is not only an examination of individual and collective memory but also a profound reflection on contemporary societal changes, environmental protection, and cultural inheritance. In this era of constant change and uncertainty, can we still stop and reconsider the things that have been neglected, seeking out those visions we once focused on?

The exhibition is not just a retrospective of the past; it is also a question for the future. As we stand in the current flow of time, can we recover the lost vision in the mirror of art, and open new vistas for the future?

Art Competition Rules:

Artist Participation Requirements:

Submissions must align with the theme and medium requirements of the competition.

Mediums: Original, high-quality artworks in oil painting, acrylic painting, watercolor, gouache, ink, mixed media, printmaking, photography, video, sculpture, installation, ceramics, fiber art, collage, digital art, land art, etc. The jury will not accept works related to pornography, gambling, drugs, religious desecration, or politically provocative themes. All submitted works must be entirely original creations by the artist, and the use of high imitation or plagiarism is strictly prohibited.

Age: The competition is open to artists aged 18 and above from around the world, with a global perspective.

Submission File Quality:

The submission file must be in JPG format.

Each file must not exceed 5MB.

The image must be "professionally presented" — cropped, frame-free, and without watermarks.

Each piece must be an original work or an original work that has been sold, preferably completed within the past 6 years.

Email Content:

Artists must submit clear JPG or PNG images of their works, a brief personal artist bio, and a statement about the artwork. For video or time-based media artists, please include high-resolution screenshots and a video link. Each submission should include the following details for each piece: title, dimensions, year of creation, artist’s name, materials used, and sale price. If the artist is willing to sell the work, please specify the price. If the artwork is sold during the exhibition, the full commission from the sale will go directly to the artist. If the work is not for sale, no price needs to be provided.

Judging Criteria for the Art Grand Prix of "The Lost Vision – 2025 London Contemporary Art Review Exhibition"

The exhibition’s jury evaluates submissions from multiple perspectives to ensure that the artworks not only demonstrate artistic depth but also resonate with the exhibition’s central theme, “The Lost Vision.” The following are the judging criteria for this competition:

1.Thematic Relevance

Works must deeply reflect on the theme of "The Lost Vision," exploring abstract concepts such as individual emotions, poetic aesthetics, and should have intrinsic philosophical depth and emotional tension. Artists should convey a unique interpretation of the theme through their work, delivering profound thoughts or emotions.

2.Creativity and Innovation

The works should demonstrate originality and a unique artistic expression, going beyond traditional artistic frameworks or conventional aesthetic patterns. Innovation can be reflected in the use of materials, the construction of form, or the artistic methods employed.

3.Technical Skill

The work should demonstrate exceptional artistic craftsmanship, whether it is sculpture, painting, installation art, or other forms. The work should reflect the artist's deep understanding of materials and techniques. The level of detail and finesse in execution will also be an important judging criterion.

4.Emotional and Intellectual Depth

The work should have multiple layers of interpretative potential, provoking viewers to engage from different perspectives. The emotional and intellectual depth of the piece is a key consideration.

5.Visual Impact

The ability of the work to capture attention and create lasting impressions through its dynamism and impact will be evaluated. The jury will consider factors such as composition, color harmony, and spatial arrangement, assessing whether the work holds strong visual appeal.

6.Diversity of Creativity and Use of Materials

Judges will pay attention to how artists flexibly utilize different creative approaches and materials, particularly the exploration of new materials and technologies that produce unique visual experiences. The jury will also consider whether the choice of materials and concepts enhances the work's poetic nature and thematic expression.

7.Interactivity and Audience Engagement

The jury will assess how the design of the work interacts with the audience. Does it engage the public through participation or immersive experiences, adding layers of meaning and emotional resonance? Works that incorporate interactive or participatory elements will be given particular attention.

8.Cultural and Social Reflection

Can the work address contemporary societal or cultural topics within the global context, offering new perspectives through artistic expression? The jury will focus on whether the work reflects on modern life, societal contradictions, or cultural phenomena.

9.Presentation and Display

The presentation of the work should be thoughtfully designed to express the underlying concept. The jury will evaluate how the installation, lighting, and display arrangement complement the conceptual depth of the work, enhancing the overall viewing experience.

10.International Perspective and Diversity

The work should possess an international perspective, demonstrating cultural, background, and linguistic diversity. The jury will evaluate whether the work transcends geographical and cultural boundaries, reflecting global artistic exchange and interaction in the context of contemporary times.

The judging standards integrate the thematic, innovative, technical, and interactive aspects of the artworks, ensuring that the chosen works represent the cutting edge of contemporary art.

Awards and Benefits:

The jury will announce the winners of the various grand prizes within 8 working days after the final submission deadline. Award winners will receive honor certificates and will be featured in major media outlets in the UK, USA, Europe, and other leading art media, with their achievements and works being publicly recognized.

Winners of the Best Exhibition Grand Prize and the Gold Award may have the opportunity to be represented by Gallery NAT, host a solo exhibition, or be invited to join the Academic Committee.

All winning works in the competition, if sold during the exhibition by galleries, collectors, or other buyers, will have all commissions from the sale going directly to the artist.
