Working & living space for creative professionals at special conditions

In two Viennese Wilhelminian-style villas located close to Wilheminenberg Palace, temporary work
and living spaces are made available to creative professionals at special conditions. The project aims to add social sustainability to the ecologically sustainable general refurbishment project of the double property.

We are searching for artists from all fields to create their art and be a part of our process: When applying, the concrete planned contribution to the residency programme must be presented.
This consists of:
 
1) the planned own work during the presence in the residency programme (concept),
2) the ongoing work and interaction with the residents and neighbours (e.g. offering small workshops) and
3) an idea of your own contribution to the residents‘ festival (e.g. theme of an exhibition)

The concept must be submitted in writing with the application.

The residencies are awarded twice a year for 5 months each to selected MontLeArtists: March to July and September to January. Applications can be submitted online at any time. A jury decides on the allocation.

The costs amount to € 390,– per month and person, incl. VAT contribution, flat rate including all costs for space, heating, hot water, house operating costs, electricity and internet.
The minimum length of stay is 3 months, whereby the entire month of June or December for the residents‘ party must be included.

Payment options/duration of stay: For the minimum stay, a fee for 3 months (i.e. € 1170) must be paid in advance in one go when the keys are handed over. once when the keys are handed over, then the monthly amount due depending on the length of stay.
Special conditions:
Prepayment of 4 months in one at the beginning of the residency: 1450,- instead of 1560,- (-7%)
Prepayment of 5 months in one at the beginning of the residency: 1750,- instead of 1950,- (-10%)

A deposit of 500,- € per person is to be handed over to the landlord in cash when the keys are handed over.

 The studios are a creative community with a high degree of artistic and personal autonomy. The large attic maisonette is inhabited by three people as a shared flat (3 separate bedrooms), the two working studios with different infrastructure are provided for communal use.
