The Residency Program at the Mauser EcoHouse is all about providing a beautiful, tranquil and inspirational space where artists can immerse themselves in their individual projects. Artists are encouraged to be self directed and pursue their own creative ideas.

At our residency, you will have the opportunity to strengthen your mind, body and spirit through immersion in nature. We are committed to holding a clear and conscious space that allows you the perfect opportunity to express your art, reconnect yourself to the earth, and to heal and rebalance.

The program focuses on furnishing artists with luxury accommodations, ample work space and serene surroundings so that individual or group projects can be worked on and creativity can flourish.

Our holistic 1.5 acre property is home to numerous indigenous fruit trees, edible plants, herbs, two banana circle composts, five swales and a working greenhouse.

Heather, our on-site artist and EcoHouse Coordinator welcomes and delights in giving tours of the property's sustainable features, including medicinal and tropical plants.

We are located within a small community in the mountains. Surrounding us is the jungle, breathtaking views, and miles of dirt roads and trails to meander, run or hike, and explore. There is a family owned restaurant, Mirador Donde Andrés with delicious food a 20 minute walk away.

This is the ideal location for nature/landscape photographers/painters/dancers/music composers/sculptors/jewelry designers/writers/poets/plein air/visual/multi-media and installation artists. The program is open to emerging and mid-career artists, curators, art researchers, and creatives from all around the world.
