Künstlerhaus Götz Artist Residency

The Residency

Künstlerhaus Götz is a private art initative founded in 2019 by the artist Sisi Fuss.

Intended to support and foster artists at any stage in their life-cycle, the residency program offers the use of a studio space in a village building, outside of Potsdam/Berlin. The area is surrounded by protected nature preserves, harbors, wetlands, ancient forests, and historic bodies of water.

Taking part in a residency at Künstlerhaus Götz, up to 7 international artists will receive support, advice, and become a part of a community that acts as base near Berlin/Potsdam to be able to visit the city, while having a natural retreat to call home.

Studios

There are 7 studios distributed over 2 floors of a historic barn house build in about 1920. Each room has shared kitchen, shower, WC and WIFI. The kitchens are fully equipped and the rooms have a double sofa bed with bed linen, table, chairs, desk lamp / bed lamp, wardrobe and shelves.

There is also a large garden with wetland access, and a backyard firepit for common use. Bikes are available, free of charge.

Open Studios Exhibition

Events, open-studios, artist-talks, studio visits, collaboration projects, interviews, and similar can be arranged as per each artist‘s idea and preference. Inclusion on our homepage, artist database is optional.

Assistance

The work spaces have access to equipment and tools available in the residence including woodworking tools and multimedia equipment such as projectors and screens. The studio is suitable for sculptors, painters, writers, photographers, printmaking, musicians, and multimedia artists.

Duration

Residency duration between 6-12 months.
 

Fees

Accommodation 450 € / month single room with shared kitchen/bathroom includes utilities wifi, gas, electric. Studio access, workshop, bike-usage, and garden are provided free of charge.
