He has worked full-time in the real estate field since 2008, creating The Mottola Group in 2004. His firm serves the entire state of Delaware; Chester and Delaware counties and Philadelphia in Pennsylvania; southern New Jersey shore communities; and Maryland.

Mottola has received the Real Estate Dozen national sales award and become a lifetime member of the New Castle County Board of Realtors Million Dollar Club. In addition to his role with DCAD, Mottola is a vice president on the Ronald McDonald House of Delaware Board of Directors and a member and past commodore of the Yacht Club of Stone Harbor Board of Trustees. “Stephen brings both an eye for design and a wealth of experience within the Wilmington business community to our Board,” said DCAD trustee chairman Thomas J. Shopa. “Just as importantly, he brings a passion for giving back that will help us focus on new fundraising goals to enhance the College’s student body.”
