Creative Industries Pre-Employment Certification Program

Art Start’s Creative Industries Pre-Employment Certificate (PEC) provides skills-based training and work experience for emerging creatives ages 18-24 committed to pursuing a career in the creative arts industries. Candidates who complete all three phases of the program and obtain the PEC will develop critical workforce skills and be poised to be successful in the professional creative industries.

Art Start's Emerging Artists Residency (Milwaukee, WI)

Art Start’s Emerging Artist Residency (EAR) is a 7-8 month program wherein creatives ages 16-24* years with innate artistic talent explore, learn, and grow into their own place in the creative arts industries. Emerging Artists develop creatively, personally, and professionally via workshops, special arts and networking opportunities, career-centered travel, community studio time, and more. Emerging Artists are eligible to earn a weekly stipend for their dedication to the program and full participation in residency activities, including showcasing their portfolio during Art Start's Annual Spring Retrospective in April 2026.
