Call for Art, Gallery Without Walls, 2026–2028 Rotating Exhibition

On behalf of the City of Lake Oswego, we are pleased to invite artist submissions of up to three works of art per artist to be considered for outdoor public display in Lake Oswego’s nationally recognized outdoor Gallery Without Walls rotating collection. In its twenty-sixth year, this program’s mission is to integrate art into the daily lives of residents and visitors.

Artists can submit completed works and ideas for new work to be completed by August 2026 for installation. Accepted artwork will be displayed throughout the downtown business district for a two-year exhibition period from summer 2026 to summer 2028.

Request for Proposal: Public Art Installation at Lake Oswego Public Library

Respond to Racism (RtR), in collaboration with the Lake Oswego Public Library (LOPL) and the Arts Council of Lake Oswego (ACLO), invites artists/artist teams living in Oregon to submit proposals for a site-specific public artwork installation at the exterior of the Lake Oswego Public Library. The installation is to be unveiled by summer 2026. The installation will include interpretive panel(s) and sidewalk stamps.

One artist/artist team will be selected to create public art installations that communicate historically relevant and accurate information regarding the history of racism in Lake Oswego and the City’s aspiration to be free of racism, as well as embody themes of hope and healing, along the same block.

The budget available for the commission is $31,000.
