TRACTOR residency - call for fall 2022

We welcome each and every passionate professional from all creative businesses, nationalities, and ages to spend some creative weeks with us in Zalaegerszeg; a dashing city in the west of Hungary, on the banks of the Zala River, close to the Slovenian, Austrian (and Croatian) border and only 220 kilometres/137 miles (by car) south-west of Budapest or 32km/19.67mi from lake Balaton.

Famous for its natural beauty, rich cultural heritage, and laid-back lifestyle, Zalaegerszeg offers an inspirational setting for intensive, introverted exploration, experimentation and/or creation within contemporary art practices.

RED Flamingo exhibition residency - autumn 2022

RED Flamingo is looking for site-specific, in situ and other projects or exhibition ideas to be realised within our new project space, during the upcoming 2022 residency season.

What kind of exhibition projects do we have in mind?

We offer you a kind of white cube environment, which you can transform or use according to your creative vision. We encourage you to think spatially; use the walls, ceiling, and floor as part of your artwork. Yes, they can be painted, etc. to set up a comprehensive environment and/or experience for the audience.

There are no limitations in regard to medium, theme, or subject. Our only condition for the selected exhibition is that it takes into account the specifics of our exhibition space.

MiXER collaboration - autumn 2022

After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, we’re looking forward to »mixer« with artists again this fall:

MiXER is a cross-disciplinary collaboration experiment or as we call it “a playground” where artists from diverse artistic disciplines and cultural backgrounds are encouraged to engage, share methodologies, and inspire each other.

With the task of working in pairs, artists are given the opportunity to regenerate their creative dynamism, exchange, and develop new ideas.

Experiment with no fear of failure, trying out different types of working processes, and thus assess their own artistic processes while learning valuable insights from other artists and/or art forms.
