We have almost lost the habit of sending postcards to our family and friends when we are on holidays. Postcards are not only nice pictures of a touristic place, they also represent social, architectural and economic changes through time, years, and decades. Portraying a precise place in a specific time means giving a unique interpretation of what is shown in that picture. This call would like to reflect and select photographic works somehow working with the concept of the postcard - they can include postcards, can be archive-based research, remake postcards with a modern touch.. .

Photographers and videomakers are invited to submit works that respond to the execution mode of Close-Up shooting. An open call without limits as far as the genres, styles and stories that could be told. The Close-Up is a technique that allows the revelation of details, particulars and traits that characterize the person portrayed, and identify them as unique and singular, just as their stories, their personality and their emotions are.

The Forgotten Places call will collect photographic works that will constitute an exhibition/exploration excursus of abandoned, forgotten and rediscovered places, which will lead to a reflection on environmental, historical/social aspects and individual memory.

With the advent of photography, a new documentary approach intervenes in giving a testimony of human kind, through the direct recording of behaviors, but also through the traces they leave.

This call aims to collect monochrome photographic images containing tonal scales of gray or other chromatisms. Beginning with the black and white photographic images, the monochrome product is always intended as an abstraction of reality and as a representation of certain levels of human perception, of the visible and not, through which we gather information on the relationship of humankind with the world.

The Family

The collection of the photographs on display will expose the meaning of the term "Family", through stories and thoughts.

Such a broad topic, "Family", grants the photographers multiple approaches within the experiential and autobiographical sphere - which makes the diaristic component implicit - but also documentary and conceptual, as the result of a reflection on the meaning of the "Family" in the modern age.

Art and iconography were the first channels of communication that aided the spreading of collective imaginaries capable of inspiring the beliefs of several different peoples of diverse cultures and religions.

The call "I want to Believe" intends to collect photographs that represent a conscious trust in a narration, story, thought or idea in which we see a way to hope and/or an alternative to the present reality.
