Call for Art - Transition of Power: 2021

13FOREST Gallery has marked the past two presidential inaugurations with an exhibition titled Transition of Power. The goal of the exhibition is to highlight a diversity of artistic responses to the turnover of political power in the American government. Following the most contentious presidential election in recent history, we are once again turning to artists to provide perspective on the transition from the Trump administration to the Biden administration. We are looking for work that addresses the breadth of political issues that arose during the Trump presidency, and especially the historic events of 2020, from the Black Lives Matter movement to the COVID-19 pandemic.

We define “emerging” as those early in their professional artistic careers, who may wish to learn more about gallery representation, building an extensive exhibition history and awards, or sustaining an income derived from art sales and commissions.

Calling all 2020 North West UK graduates

Calling all 2020 North West Graduates!

Best of 2020

This year has been a pretty bad year and we want to launch 2021 off with a better start and a brand new show featuring 20 wonderful and talented graduates from across the North West.

We know many of you have not been able to have a physical degree show this year, or even have the chance to complete your final degree pieces due to the lack of access to facilities and support. We want to provide you the chance to get your work seen in a group show at AIR Gallery in March-April 2021 as a way of celebrating of the graduating class of 2020.

Call For Hudson Valley Artists 2021

Carrie Haddad opened the first art gallery on Warren St. in Hudson, NY in 1991 with a mission to showcase artists of the local region. Thirty years later, Hudson has become a thriving arts destination and haven for artists and art lovers alike. Carrie Haddad Gallery is still open at 622 Warren Street and continues to host 7 exhibits a year. She has a dedicated roster of artists, many of whom have been exhibiting for 15 (or more) years.

This CALL FOR ARTISTS is an opportunity to open the door for new artists in the region; either born and raised or recently transplanted, to be chosen to exhibit their work in a special Anniversary exhibit in 2021.

At this time, we will only be accepting submissions from artists who live and work in Upstate New York.

Become a Bleur Artist

Here at Bleur we are opening our doors for one artist to join our collective of artists.

Since its creation in 2019, Bleur’s mission is to showcase emerging talents and make space for diverse voices to be heard. For us, buying art is about creating a strong bond between art buyers and artists by sharing the stories behind the artist’s work.

Bleur is artist-led which means that we understand the challenges artists can face. Supporting artists at the start of their journey is the reason why Bleur exists. From talking through career choices, business decisions and artistic direction to giving mothers and fathers headspace by looking after their little ones while they create, we are there every step of the way.
